It’s time to move again and start a new chapter in my life. Life as a freelancer isn’t easy and I’ve decided to move in my brother’s house for about a year, so we can both save some cash.
The only problem? The house is located in Halle (the city I got raised in) & I don’t know how I’ll cope with that just yet. I’ve been living in Ghent for about 10 years now. I’ve studied there & I kind of sticked around. It’s a nice city, it’s small, feels like a town, but it’s very much alive. There’s always something to be done; a nice gallery opening, a cool party,… you name it. Not to mention my friends I’ll miss greatly! (Dear friends, we’re only one train ride away!)
Removing the financiel tension will give me the chance to focus more on my photography, which I haven’t been giving my 100%. (not even 50!) So far, I’ve spent my time looking for in between jobs to, well… survive!
I’ve decided I didn’t need that big apartment, it doesn’t make me happy. Moving back won’t give me an immediate boost of happiness either, but at least I can hold on to the idea that it isn’t permanent & that there are good times ahead.
My goals during that period of time?
Focus on my business
Update my blog more regularly & let it grow
Fun times with my friends & family. Not only work, but also play!
Find myself again, I’ve been neglecting ‘me’ too much. I need some ‘Radical Self Love‘, ASAP.
Travel, meet people & see the world! (it doesn’t have to be much… a city trip once in a while keeps me happy)
How about you? Are you an Entrepreneur? Artist? Freelancer? …? Did you have to give up on something to achieve your goals? How did you manage?
‘Till next time, Dear Diary!
